Aaron Gold brings more than 25 years of investing and operating experience across various sub-sectors of infrastructure, including transportation/logistics, energy, water/wastewater and waste management. Over the years, he has led investment origination, execution, financing and asset management efforts, as well as operations/administrative responsibilities and fundraising initiatives, for three independent infrastructure investments managers.

Prior to joining CAI, Aaron was Chief Financial Officer of Engine No. 1, developing power generation facilities to support the electricity needs of data centers and related AI energy demand. He managed all financial, operational and administrative responsibilities of the platform.

Prior to joining Engine No. 1, Aaron was a Managing Director and founding member of Argo Infrastructure Partners, an independent, middle-market infrastructure investment firm that Aaron was instrumental in growing to over $6 billion in assets under management. He served on the investment committee and led Argo’s conventional and renewable power generation investment activities.

Before Argo, Aaron was a Principal at Carlyle Infrastructure Partners, The Carlyle Group’s first global infrastructure fund, and a Managing Director at Highstar Capital (now Oaktree Infrastructure), which grew from $406 million to nearly $5 billion assets under management during his tenure.

Aaron holds an MBA in finance from New York University and an AB in politics from Princeton University.
